Excellent temperature/RH controller for mushroom growing

UPDATE (05/08/21): After using this sensor in RH (>90%) for several months, the unit still seems pretty good to be exact! Sensors in high relative humidity environments are always at risk of problems as moisture can build up on the device itself and cause electronic malfunctions or reading errors. However, it turns out that with regular (weekly) cleaning of the sensors, the integrity of the readings is preserved over time! I am now using an environmental control device in a grow tent (2 x 4ft) that includes a DIY aquaponic system. Phenomenal performance at the relative humidity (ITC-608T) required for plant growth! with edible mushrooms inside and from my first impressions it works phenomenally! Before using this controller I tried 2 cheap temperature/RH sensors, digital and mechanical, both of which were extremely inaccurate at high relative humidity (90%). By placing this model's probes in a terrarium, I found that the results would be much more accurate, and after a week of continuous (24/7) use, they are providing stable readings! If you need a budget climate controller for growing mushrooms or high humidity (90%) environments, I highly recommend this model!

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Good but not great
