Great review - especially with the FM7 configuration. I increased the drag to mimic real driving a little more. The only complaint is that I would like the steering box gear ratio to match each car individually and not a global gear ratio. maybe there is, but it doesn't look like it. I love the fact that Dirt Rally has a default configuration that works great. and makes the game 500% more enjoyable (now you can actually get together). For a novice racer in real life, that's pretty good. except for brake pedal stiffness (which is unrealistic to achieve 100% in FM7 with default settings). I'm not sure how far back you have to play to physically modify the brake pedal). The correct solution is to change the outer dead zone for deceleration to around 50-70% - you can verify the optimal setting by driving and observing the car. The red bar on the bottom right of your HUD in FM7 is your brake pressure. If you brake as hard as you want and the red box doesn't fill up, reduce the deceleration outer dead zone a bit. TA Dah! The same applies to some other games.
