I have a doberman and a husky and the dobie is always cold. Therefore, he never wants to play outside with a husky for a long time. It was very difficult for me to find a jacket long enough to cover his back. He weighs 70 pounds but has a 30 inch back. And with a deep girth. The dog doesn't like that. I also hate it when the back strap hangs low on my stomach and they pee on it. But this jacket fits! I love it! No, it's not very thick. But it's a good weight. Extra heavyweight is NOT really what you want in a healthy, active dog unless under 15F. It fits great. I have XXXL but I think XXL fits. It has a very nice shape. he looks great He can still carry a backpack over it. It's waterproof and to keep it that way I never wash it with detergent, just Nikwax Tech Wash and waterproof it again. This is a car. wash and dry so it's great! He loves it and usually doesn't like jackets. Velcro is VERY sticky. Paying $60+ So for the price this jacket is amazing! Your purchase is worth it!
