The highest $30 I've spent on my dog. I bought this costume as an alternative to a cone for my 1 year old Shih Tzu who has been neutered. Thank you for this super functional and ingenious cone alternative. I bought the small size and it fits perfectly. The fabric is cotton-like and very soft. Molly (Shih Tzu) was already in post-op pain and I couldn't tease her by adding a kegel and making the experience even more miserable. This suit is a brilliant idea and super functional. It was a little difficult to put on her with all the pain, but once we got over that she was able to walk, eat and sleep comfortably. The ties are very comfortable and I check them every day to make sure they are tight enough and not too tight. It is now the fifth day and so far she has had no problems. I find the fabric soft enough that she doesn't try to pull it off herself. At first she wouldn't let her bladder out for fear the suit would get dirty, but once she found it out of the way she was able to pee and poop with no problem. I haven't put it in the wash yet, so I can't judge the result after washing. My girl has very short hair so the small ones fit perfectly but if your dog has a lot of hair please go one size up. Better yet, order 2 sizes up so you don't have to wait for the perfect size to arrive. In fact, it's a lot better than a cone; The suit covers the lower half, protecting the cut and healing area and keeping it hygienic and safe. That alone should be reason enough to choose this suit over the Kegel. She gets to hang out with my other dog which makes her a lot more appealing if you have 2 dogs. I've received so many compliments on this costume, especially when people know they aren't. Dress but excellent postoperative suit. Please do your dogs a favor by investing in this costume instead of the scary cone. It's worth the money and has peace of mind. The best part is that I can use this suit as clothes. I am so glad I made this purchase. Good luck in your pet's recovery.
