I bought this ankle brace because the one I had a few years ago is the best ankle brace I've found for running. The new one is almost useless. First, the size is ridiculous. According to their size chart, a medium should fit me. I couldn't even put it on my leg. I gave it to my wife and bought a large one. Even the large one was too tight to wear comfortably. I had to take it off after about 20 minutes because the neoprene was too tight on my foot. To make the product even worse, they replaced the old nylon straps with much shorter elastic straps. To get adequate ankle support you need something that isn't overly strong, so the elastic band is not suitable for strap use. It simply stretches and allows your ankle to move from side to side at will. If you overtighten the strap, which you only have to do to make these new shorter straps stretch, the elastic will pinch your ankle and cut off blood flow. Pro-Tec turned a great product into trash.
