I decided I didn't like copper clad aluminum

I have great respect for the manufacturer, who was very sincere, it is copper clad aluminum, and the wire gauge and stranded wire are slightly smaller than the AWG standard, and the product is exactly as described. However, having never worked with copper clad aluminum before, I was unaware of the full impact. Pros: The wires are very flexible and the thick plastic insulation provides adequate protection against abrasion. break a few. The insulating coating appears to "float" on the wire, which protects me from corrosion over time. Especially outdoors. And the whole wire feels very flimsy/weak - I would definitely NOT attempt to use it at any length. Overall: It worked for my RV project, and if you're looking for an inexpensive, easy-to-use cable for non-critical projects, I'm sure it will serve you well. Next time I'll spend the extra money on real AWG copper though.

  • . Flexible, insulated and PVC coated. Ideal for car radio, home theater, cars.
