Was on my car for a few months after buying non-original discs. They fit snugly and I can only assume they do what they were designed to do (keep the wheel centered on the smaller hub bore). One of those things that some people don't use, but if you want to make sure everything is installed correctly to rule out possible problems in the future, I would suggest that you definitely buy the right adapters for your car and wheels.
