I work in the HVAC industry. I've been using them for over a year and I've never had a bad flash. Just let it run until it hits the bottom and you're good to go. I try to only write reviews when I'm convinced. If you use a flaring tool and you don't, it may be time to replace it. I LOVE THIS TOOL.
