is the PERFECT way to let light into your windows without compromising your privacy. I used this on our rear patio door which also had a storm door hanging on it. The tailgate is a standard full window door and should let light through. All the curtain options I tried just didn't look right or suited us. However, this is the ideal solution. BE VERY CAREFUL DURING INSTALLATION - there is a VERY THIN CLEAR LINER on the film - it's a little difficult to remove but once you've done it sticks great! If I could add that Home Depot sells a "window mount kit" that includes a great spray, cutter, and plastic straightener, I think it's worth every penny to install this type of film. - Very satisfied with this film fixing product. !
