Review on Chaco ZCLOUD Womens Sandals Oculi Men's Shoes and Athletic by Barry Shaker

Wanted to love her but too hard

As a flat foot who walks or hikes quickly and is mostly just comfortable in my light running shoes (Brooks), I've wanted to rid my feet of shoes for years and wanted sandals that fit my bumpy, overpronated feet. which are -> comfortable, durable and beautiful! I read the rave reviews about Chaco ZCloud and decided to give it a try. The Chaco design with adjustable straps is elegant and good looking. BUT. These chacos are too heavy for long walks and the arch is too high which hurt my foot a bit. I decided to break them in thinking I would get used to the weight but even after a month I didn't so I (unfortunately) decided to return them but who knew a lighter/slimmer Chaco was hiding them . in the spotlight. I've read on several different "shoe blogs" that Chaco stopped making their previous lightweight soles after the Z-Volves and I decided to give the Chaco Zvolves a try and I'm very glad I did! The Zvolves are MUCH lighter, the straps are of better quality (or at least look better) and the arch isn't as high which doesn't make me feel like my sandal is pinching me when walking. I had Chaco Zvolves. It's been 3 months now and I love her so much. Also, they look really cute! Unfortunately, the Z-Clouds weren't for my aching, overpronated legs.

Pros
  • I don't know why I hesitated to buy this. They can be changed/transferred to any leg. Very comfortable to wear all day.
Cons
  • I mean the base of these sandals can be wide but I couldn't fit my foot in the straps so they're coming back.
