I've never bought a pair of hardguards before. When I assembled them I saw that there are pins in the springs. I thought they were there to keep the springs stable. Then when I tried to skate with them, they started making a weird clicking noise. So I removed the pins and now they don't make that weird noise anymore. I didn't have to cut them at all, I have 10 2/3" skate blades. I used to have very bad erasers, the fabric was very thin and they couldn't absorb moisture. But these are very thick and keep my skates very dry. And a Bonus towel completes my cute set The bright blue almost matches my blue soft Jackson skates.
