Optimized Set: CRS Cross Skate Guards, Soakers & Towel - Ice Skating Protection and Soft Blade Covers for Figure Skating or Hockey Review

As a beginner skater I found this product extremely helpful as I didn't have to purchase a blotter pad, blade guard and towel separately. Everything came in good condition, all good quality. I love that I got all this at an affordable price and that it was amazing quality. I ordered medium size skates for my US size 5 skates and they fit great. The blade guard needs to be trimmed slightly to fit the blade size.

I really like it the color was bright and beautiful the only problem is the towel seems thin can see the light not sure if it the skates dry properly and shoot the ice port. Haven't used them yet but they look and feel great, easy to fit for protection, they fit my blade perfectly, I'm sized up all over for my figure skating size 9, everything fits perfectly, no trimming necessary but my guards may be different for other blade sizes. I recommend 10/10

The product does exactly what it is supposed to do. But whatever you do, DO NOT read the instructions that come with it. This was written with the assumption that you have connected thousands of these things together. In this regard, a picture says more than a thousand words. For example, the instructions specifically say to put the HIGH side on the toe. BUT, if you look closely at any of the product images when installed, it's obvious that the short is on the toe. This skate protection set is priced right and does what it says on the tin and everything works. I have two wishes to raise the kit to 5 stars. First, the towel is very thin. The kit could have been a bit heavier and more absorbent. It's ok, after all I can bring my own towel. Second, the hardguard is a bit small for a men's skate. I don't have very big feet, only shoe size is US8.5. I have men's 8 skates. But even at this size, the hard guards are a bit short with no cuts. They work, don't get

I've never bought a pair of hardguards before. When I assembled them I saw that there are pins in the springs. I thought they were there to keep the springs stable. Then when I tried to skate with them, they started making a weird clicking noise. So I removed the pins and now they don't make that weird noise anymore. I didn't have to cut them at all, I have 10 2/3" skate blades. I used to have very bad erasers, the fabric was very thin and they couldn't absorb moisture. But these are very thick

This is a good set to buy as everything is color coordinated. The material is fairly standard, copes with its task. But if you already have hard shields I would recommend buying a microfiber cloth and soft covers from GIANTCLEAN, the material they use is better, it absorbs water/condensation/dirt much better.
