Review on 🐠 Advanced ISTA Co2 Reactor & Planted Aquarium Surface Film Skimmer - Ultimate Surfclear Fish Tank Filter by Jennifer Schmeisser

I was hoping for a device that would allow me to temporarily clean the surface of the water to reduce/remove the film of oil that builds up over time, but I feel like I've ruled this product out. I had to constantly go back and make adjustments throughout the day to get it working properly. The float sometimes sucked underwater at full power and I had to pull it out. Also the distance between the slats on the float is not enough to be effective. After about 30 minutes, the film has built up sufficient surface tension to completely close the holes. Last but not least, there is no type of filter to catch what is taken from the surface and put it back into the water column. I ended up having to use the built in skimmer on some of the new Lily Pipes to solve my problems. At least it can be used as a power head.
