This product works for the very specific purpose I had in mind. This review isn't about testing panel specs like some others do, but I have no reason to question other reviewers' conclusions. But then again, these panels cheaply do what I want, which is relatively low current at a nominal 5V. I use these panels to maintain a constant charge on a pair of Lorex wireless outdoor security cameras. Lorex cameras use a removable battery; It's weatherproof and rated for weeks on a single charge, but in practice my batteries died after about a week and it was impractical to climb a ladder to disconnect, pick up, charge and then re-use so many times. Fortunately, the battery is charged during use via an externally accessible micro-USB port. Such a charge works, even if it violates the tightness. So my main question was, will this solar panel be able to sustain a charge? And after a month of flawless use, I say YES. My cameras are almost fully charged since I mount them with these chargers. A few more details: - Upon unpacking, I thought the panels might be a complete bogus as they don't have the normal look of a metal solar cell. But the built in LED indicator lit up as soon as I waved it in the sun and apparently they work for my cameras. The panel is a hard laminated plastic that appears to be completely sealed except for the USB 5V output port. Aside from my initial reaction, it seems well made and durable, about the size of a notepad sheet. Just don't expect to have to store it anywhere; He Is hard. I don't know what they charge, but I hung them vertically on the wall of my house, with the panel's USB output facing down. One captures direct morning sunlight and the other captures direct afternoon sunlight, but they seem to work with indirect blue ambient skies as well. I didn't seal the ports in any way other than turning them down so they wouldn't catch the rain. With a few rains, strong winds, and even some snow, I haven't had any issues with shorts or failures on either end of the main USB cables I use to connect them to the cameras. I was going to go back and silicone seal them after a trial period, but I might as well just leave it on to see how it performs.
