Firstly, this product doesn't hold 4 cups, if you put 2 cups in it you'll know. four cups lol that's a misnomer but you only pay $7 and change so you have to be a bit realistic about the product. I've never gotten an explosive oatmeal like some of the photos, but I've never cooked anything more than a Quaker Oats instant pouch. and yes, longer cook times for ramen like nongshim (my favorite) will create some broth on your microwave platter, but nongshim manufacturers recommend a longer cook time than the manufacturer's. And of course, unless you have the hands of a child, or maybe a hobbit or other mythical creature, the stylus will only fit on two fingers, so put a saucer or small plate underneath if you have big hands.
