
Very simple overview. If you have bike tubes with replaceable Presta valves (Schwalbe tubes seem to have them, other brands may or may not have them) you will need a tool to remove or tighten them. Tighten them if you have a threaded pump head, and also occasionally remove inserts like the otherwise great Lezyne pump heads, or remove them if you have a snap-on pump head (especially the Zefal HPX) that finishes ham hands. deforms the valve. It's small and easily lost, so good luck keeping it for a long time. I wish there was a loop on one end for attaching to a cable or something. These are minor quirks that do not affect the tool's function. Please note that a 4mm spanner will fit on Presta valves in a pinch.
