I have two of these; I'm thinking of buying a few more before the holiday though. The two I have sit on the fireplace in the library and lie there all year round. I can't give you an exact estimate of the time between battery changes, but it's several months. They emit a beautiful, warm, flickering light that is indistinguishable from a real burning candle. I don't want to bore you with the specs (you can read them yourself), but I'll mention a few things: This isn't a candle with a flickering flame like the Luminara, but a small LED that sits in the tip. Trust me you miss the little flickering flame. You need a candlestick; they are not alone. When you turn them on, they glow for 6 hours, then turn off and on again the next day at the same time. To change the time, simply turn it off and back on at the desired time.
