I decided to make my own beef jerky and the dehydrator seemed like a good idea. This one is pretty cheap and has a decent amount of customization options. Having a digital timer and temperature setting is awesome! Just set and forget. I've found that I have to leave the jerky out a little longer than I should because the door feels cheap, which causes some heat loss. It has a drip tray on the bottom which works well considering the drip tray design. Cleaning is very easy, everything is made of plastic so nothing sticks, just wipe and you're done!
