I am not sensitive to perfume and other smells in most things. I can stand the smell of new carpet, paint, and many other strong odors, but the overpowering chemical smell of this dresser's fabric drawers makes me literally sick. I have had the chest of drawers for 3 days and the smell has not decreased one iota. I even put the boxes outside all day for fresh air and sun and still no difference. I can even smell him as I approach the room he is in. Otherwise I really like this chest of drawers, but if the smell doesn't go away I'll have to send it back. I had to remove the dresser from the bedroom because I can't sleep with this horrible smell. What a disappointment and can't believe I haven't read other reviews about it.
