
Any electronic device can fail, but if it survives the first few hundred hours of use, in my experience it can last for many years to come. The problem with this rather small rotating plug flash drive is that the mechanical rotation itself can potentially fail as the metal wears out. If you don't switch (rotate) the connector too often, the convenience of USB/C might be worth it. Otherwise, the flash drive is fast and works immediately.
