fake quality self-healing mat. Fiskars has a GENUINE 36" self-healing mat. This one is neither. Every mark I made is still there on the surface, so it no longer has a smooth, even surface. It has no "ductility" that allows the cutting blade to cut through the material. I tried to cut vinyl with a 60m Fiskar blade to make benches and had to repeat my cut repeatedly (I pressed with considerable force pressure), the project ended in frustration because when this rug came I had to use a yard stick in addition to the rug to get it It's my 36 inches, it's not self-healing, it's so heavy and uncomfortable that it's difficult moving from table to table etc. If I hadn't been pressured to finish vinyl bench covers for a client I would have returned this, it's useless.
