DIY plumber worth the money

I bought this for $15, I've had a clog in the guest bathroom that's been draining since we bought the house over 10 years ago. No amount of Draino or Liquid Plumper seemed to do anything other than drain slowly at best. I watched a YT video on how to use the slug, remove the spill cap, and push the bad guy down. Each time I felt resistance, I would close it and twist it, then keep feeding until I reached more resistance, and then rinse and repeat until the resistance was gone. Felt the drill drop a good 15 to 20 feet, pulled it out, and with it came a tuft of hair and other debris. The drain is no longer a slow drain and free flow. My advice to other plumbers is DIY: you can't serve this through a real drain, I tried for 5-10 minutes and the angle was wrong. Remove the overflow cap and you should be twisting the pipe straight in the right direction. My first attempt failed because I was trying to go through the drain instead of the overflow cap. I'd say it's the best $15 I've ever spent, but I've gotten some great deals from Revain in the past. Spent the best money on something I never thought I could fix myself.
