I've been looking for a puppy seat for my dog for a long time. She hates car rides so I was hoping that a dog car seat would help her feel more secure. I don't usually force her to get in the car, but during the spring and summer we drive to camp every spare second, sometimes we go away for the weekend, and sometimes we stay for a week, so she has no choice but to come with us. I like that it can be disassembled and washed. She sometimes jokes around a lot, so a good wash is required after a few outings. Now I'm reading other people's comments and they're complaining that the bottom pillow doesn't fluff up when vacuum packed, but I don't feel like it's a problem at all? It's just a thin pillow anyway and the whole thing fits on your car seat, which is already soft? I'm not even sure what mine looks like because it didn't even bother me. I can tell you that there are small handles on the bottom of the dog seat that do a good job of preventing him from sliding on my leather seats. There are 2 straps attached to the car seat to keep it secure. One goes around the headrest and adjusts fairly well, while the other hugs the seat, bypassing it completely and buckling in the back. Also hanging from the top left is a strap that you attach to the puppies' collars. There is a zipper that runs all the way down the seat making it easy to get in and out of. The pillow is quite heavy, so getting it out of the way so it can pass is a good option.
