Not sure why Revane wanted me to rate "Transparency" or "Thickness" but, um, one and the other it was OK. More importantly, it is an ACTIVE adapter that allows you to use a 4:4:4 compatible TV/monitor with a DisplayPort graphics card. Modern graphics cards usually only have one HDMI connection. If you want to connect two HDMI monitors with 4K resolution, this adapter will work. If you use a passive adapter, you won't get true 4:4:4 color, and computer text will be multicolor rather than black. Passive adapter not working. As always with Cable Matters, it works and is inexpensive. Note: Most TVs do not support 4:4:4 color format, so check the specifications. And TVs that support 4:4:4 can only do this on an HDMI port and/or it needs to be set to "extended HDMI" or something similar.
