My four year old loves building things and loves remote control cars. He had picked this out at a physical store as a reward for teacher conferences. I thought it was just a car you could take apart and put together, and I thought all the batteries were for was the screwdriver/drill part. But my four year old and seven year old showed me how wrong I was and that you could drive it too! The RC feature only allows for forward and reverse movement, no turning, and works best on a hard surface. I thought it was worth what I spent when I just thought you could take it apart and put it back together with a working drill. To find out it also had a remote control feature, I was super impressed. I have since purchased additional ones to give out as gifts to my 3 year old nephew, and other versions for my son. I think this toy would probably work for ages 2-5 or 6. I wouldn’t buy it specifically as a remote control car - the features are pretty limited, but as an all around toy, it’s great as just a truck to play with, it’s easy enough for younger kids to take apart and put back together, and it’s super easy to operate the RC. I definitely recommend this toy.
