I have a home setup with various cameras from different brands including WansView, Foscam and now this Reolink. I use NetCam Studio on my home server and have a license for 16 cameras on it. I had to replace my open Foscam 8905W which finally stopped responding after 3 full years of Michigan weather. I really liked the 8905W because it had excellent night vision and could easily see objects about 100 feet away from my backyard home. When I first started looking for a replacement for this camera, I was faced with a choice between this Reolink model and TRENDnet's 1.3-megapixel model. . My requirements this time were PoE (because I had already run the ethernet cable) and night vision capability of at least 100 feet. Since the Reolink model was natively supported by Netcam Studio, I took the risk of ordering it even though the TRENDnet model had a claimed 3-year warranty and more positive reviews. I was delighted when the Reolink model arrived and noticed the 2 year warranty. when registering a product = bonus. I was then even happier when I downloaded the iOS setup app and found that it's easy to set up with wizards that make it easy and offer enough advanced options for a setup tech like me to make changes. Combined with PoE, the physical installation was the easiest I've ever had. I actually spent more time removing my old camera than setting it up, from opening the box to setting it up with my server. After a night of operation I am VERY pleased with the wide field of view of this camera. It blows my old Foscam out of the water (for less!). I can see almost my entire backyard from the same setup where before I could only see a small portion. In addition, the image quality and frame rate are fantastic. I actually had to lower the resolution and bitrate to keep my server from lagging behind the recording. Sound is also an added bonus. In total I currently have about 20 cameras in this price range and can say this is the best camera I own and am considering replacing one of my outdoor units with this. Would definitely buy again and recommend all NetCam Studio users not to waste their time on other cameras in this price range if you can hardwire.
