Review on Advanced ATP B-327 Automatic Transmission Filter Kit: Boost Performance & Durability by Bart Elbrink

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Gasket protrudes when tightened to spec, no leaks yet. 2014 Border AT.

Fitted on 2014 Nissan Frontier SV V6 with Automatic Transmission. I just changed the fluid and gasket yesterday so this review is very recent; I will update if anything changes. The fluid change went well with one obvious exception. As you can see from the photos, the gasket will deflect when torqued to 70 in-lbs to specification. I did 20 miles over 3 rides and hit 65 mph in 10 minute intervals. I don't think there are any leaks; no outrageous ones that are. There may be a small leak in the corner, or maybe it was my poor cleaning job so I did a fresh clean with a degreaser and will keep an eye on it. I'm just disappointed with the bulge, but if it holds up and doesn't leak then I have no complaints. Next time I will take this gasket from the dealer. Note: I completely removed the old gasket with a plastic scraper and dried the tub. I put a new gasket on the pan, added 4 (angle) screws to the pan to hold the gasket in place and installed by tightening each screw in reverse order. Even at 65 in-lbs, the seal buckled. Total ATF used = 4 3/4 liters (I drained it for 2 hours).
