Great filter, seal needs some work.

Although I used a filter the gasket didn't help much. They claim to be famous for the fact that the washer is designed to be easy to align when in reality it is almost impossible to install. The spacer is significantly smaller than the screw holes so they stay in place, but the difficulty arises when trying to line up the screws in the holes. If they give you a bit of wiggle room I think a gasket would be fine.

Nuts can be reinstalled with little effort

Product worked as advertised. I would have given 5 stars but I was a little concerned with the installation. The filter is secured with numerous bolts and several nuts. After I removed the nuts it seemed like there was nothing I could replace them with. The bolts they screw on are inside the gearbox and protrude through the block. I thought I made a big mistake removing them but luckily they can be reinstalled. The bolts are knurled on the other side so they grip when tightened and allow you to

The filter is fine, just do yourself a favor and remove the gasket.

High quality filter and perfect fit. The rubber seal is a big problem. In my opinion it would be better to put a thin layer of sealant on the old one and reuse it. Or - if I had some old school glue like Hi-Tac I could glue it on. The problem is that in order to tighten the screws enough so that they don't fall out, the thin rubber gasket is pushed out no matter how careful you are. Had to redo a job after only 40 miles and it's not a job I want to do again. My Xterra was 120,000 and the…

Gasket protrudes when tightened to spec, no leaks yet. 2014 Border AT.

Fitted on 2014 Nissan Frontier SV V6 with Automatic Transmission. I just changed the fluid and gasket yesterday so this review is very recent; I will update if anything changes. The fluid change went well with one obvious exception. As you can see from the photos, the gasket will deflect when torqued to 70 in-lbs to specification. I did 20 miles over 3 rides and hit 65 mph in 10 minute intervals. I don't think there are any leaks; no outrageous ones that are. There may be a small leak in the…

  • Heavy Duty Finish

  • High Price

The seal is rubber and was great to replace the old leaking one on the Nissan Titan 05. I didn't use the new screen from the kit as it looked good on the truck. When installing on a 2005 Nissan Titan, the process was as follows. Remove the 19mm drain plug from the transmission pan2. Drain the gear oil, then reinstall the drain plug.3. Remove the transmission pan bolts, I believe 10mm, 22 of them.4. Be careful when dropping the pan as excess liquid will collect at the bottom and splatter…

Gasket is terrible for filter and gasket kits

I installed this on my 2006 Xterra and I regret the quality of the gasket. I did a cooler bypass for the gearbox. My Xterra has about 80,000 miles on it so I figured now would be a good time to change the filter and fluid. I used about 5 liters of gear oil for this job. The correct torque for the oil pan bolts is 70 in-lbs. I tested this with a torque wrench while removing the bolts. The crappy gasket, as others have mentioned, pops out as you slowly tighten the bolts. I could only tighten each
