Review on Advanced ATP B-327 Automatic Transmission Filter Kit: Boost Performance & Durability by Ralph Banks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The rubber seal of the automatic transmission pan is normal, there are no leaks.

The seal is rubber and was great to replace the old leaking one on the Nissan Titan 05. I didn't use the new screen from the kit as it looked good on the truck. When installing on a 2005 Nissan Titan, the process was as follows. Remove the 19mm drain plug from the transmission pan2. Drain the gear oil, then reinstall the drain plug.3. Remove the transmission pan bolts, I believe 10mm, 22 of them.4. Be careful when dropping the pan as excess liquid will collect at the bottom and splatter everywhere when the pan is tilted.5. We lower the pan and drain the excess liquid.6. Remove the old gasket, I used a razor to scrape off the old gasket leaving a nice clean edge.7. Clean the sealing area with a rag and also clean the magnets at the bottom of the bowl.8. Note: I didn't replace the old screen as that looked fine on the truck (easier too)9. Install the gasket onto the pallet, thread a few screws through the pallet before reinstalling to hold it in place.10. Reattach the pan finger by tightening all 22 screws and ensuring the gasket is properly aligned.11. Torque each bolt to 70 in-lbs. A NOTICE. Do not use a ft-lb torque wrench.12. Top up gear oil, start vehicle and check for leaks. A NOTICE. The correct torque for the transmission drain plug is 25 ft-lbs.
