Review on Olympus Lens LC 37C Silver 14 42Mm by Michael Moonin

This smart gadget can be very useful for you. Please note that it will NOT work with most Olympus lenses. It is designed for the 14-42mm EZ lens that comes with a range of Olympus cameras and note the "EZ" part of this type of lens. This is a pancake version of 14-42. THIS WILL NOT WORK with the Olympus 14-42mm RII lens that comes with a number of other Olympus cameras! It *should* be the EZ version. I use it with an Olympus 17mm pancake which also works. My main criticism is that you can't use it with a filter. The space occupied by the filter does not allow the lid to be closed. If this cover is bumped at the wrong angle, for example with a child's finger, you can easily push it through and hit the lens glass. I'd rather put a UV filter on the lens to protect it and just not use a cap if for some reason it's very inconvenient. Therefore, it reduces the usefulness of this gadget for me. However, it looks very elegant and robotic as it opens and closes.
