Attention buyers. I bought this vacuum cleaner in early August 2020 and it only lasted until mid-January 2021. I liked it at first and gave it a 4 star rating (the long cord doesn't pull and the brushes are hard to clean, other than that it was pretty good). Vacuumed today and found he stopped sucking. I found that the hose had separated at the front panel along the piping. Based on some of the other reviews here, this seems to be a common mistake. I cleaned the vacuum thoroughly after each use and only used it in my tiny apartment, never overused it and always kept it with plenty of space so I don't understand how it got disconnected. My best guess is inferior parts that aren't built to last. I contacted Hoover to see if they would replace it as they say it has a 3 year warranty. Not that it mattered; I need to buy something else sooner as I can't imagine it's a quick turnaround and I have a pet that needs to clean up afterwards. Very disappointed.
