lack of customer service.

I really liked how the case felt when I first received it. Not the typical flimsy stuff you get with some of the other covers. It has a certain weight which I really like and the elastic is nice and snug and covers all the wheels to the ground. My 2014 Harley Street Glide Special was nice and dry in this beautiful Florida weather last year. BUT. About two weeks ago I noticed that both of my saddlebags had standing water the last time I opened up my bike after a storm. I thoroughly checked for holes. Once I didn't see any obvious holes. I had my brother in a dark room under the ceiling with a flashlight so I could see if there were any holes that I couldn't see in daylight. "Nothing". So I thought that the material or the seams are leaking. At that point I contacted Dowco for a replacement. There were no abuses, cuts, chaff, scratches or anything else. So I thought why not. There is a lifetime guarantee. It's been 7 days since I submitted my warranty statement and all I've received is crickets. There's no phone number to call them so you're pretty much stuck waiting for them to answer. What good is a lifetime guarantee if there is no one to honor it. It's a real shame because the cover was flawless to begin with. I understand that things fail and sometimes you end up with something that isn't great to begin with, that happens. At least fix it if something breaks prematurely. After reading some of the reviews on these covers I had to add the following opinion to this review. I'll say something that might offend some people, but I don't care. If you come back from a ride and try to put on a blanket when the bike is hot then you are an IDIOT! Don't complain if it melts on your pipes. COME MAN use your head but then again you don't so put on a blanket if it's hot. First of all, your bike needs to cool down after the ride. Second, what makes you think that if you put a case on while it's hot, it won't melt. Try putting something other than cooking utensils on the hot stove and say. "Don't melt" sounds silly, but basically that's what you're doing. Thermal liners on the inside of the case have a lighter to moderate warmth. I'm hoping someone from Dowco will finally get in touch with me because I really like my cover.
