Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Dorman 615-375 Intake Manifold for Ford Models by Charles Alvey

Works well 2007 Ford e150

At first this was a good fit. I just replaced the gasket on my stock intake manifold but after 100 miles it was leaking. It looks like the waterholes have widened a bit over time, causing the seal to fail again. We liked the fact that it is sealed at the top of the manifold so only the bottom needs to be sealed so there is a 1/2 chance of a leak. We did not need the alternator bracket and also replaced the clamp on the rear hose cap as many of the spring clamps failed. Having done this before with an original Ford air intake it only took 2.5 hours. Remember to firmly tighten the self-tapping screws rather than over-tighten them. We pulled them forward and then pulled them out before installation to make them easier to launch and go straight in. The tightening torque was the same as recommended in the book for standard air intake screws. Biggest hurdles: The EGR valve is sprayed with liquid wrench as soon as you see it to loosen it. Photograph and study electrical connections to understand them. The gas line uses plastic circles to remove things you need to watch in the video as they are tricky. Much luck.
