Review on πŸ”§ Qbace CV Joint Banding Tool and Cutting Device by Eric Salem

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works as intended. Suitable for steering and suspension tools

Strapping tool works as it should. The knife handle was incorrectly positioned on the wrong side (need to loosen the set screw and rotate the handle 180 degrees in the bore to keep the handle off the CV joint), which was easy to fix. Basically you run the tape between the cutting blade and the main body and through the anvil. Rotate the anvil to tighten the strap, bend the tool and push the cutting handle forward to cut the strap. A few hits with a hammer and punch and the tape is installed. A quick tip is to pull the anvil out of the tool to remove the rest of the tape rather than trying to unwrap it. The little red cap on the end of the anvil handle slipped off on first use and didn't stay in place thereafter, allowing the handle to slip out when extremely inconvenient. I had bolt end guards from the hardware store that fitted much tighter and solved the problem.
