Breaks too easily on the spool

The problem with this tape is that it does not come off the spool cleanly. Every time I remove a piece, the tape inevitably snaps and I have to pull out a tiny wedge-shaped piece that wraps back onto the spool. Its stickiness is good and the bottom layers of the tape will not peel off. But the inability to remove it cleanly and easily leads me to 2 stars.
