Is that a trick? - Insulation and soundproofing

The story of two products that claim to do the same thing. HNR Ela and lizard skin. When applying Lizard Skin, I found all the claims and descriptions spot on. Sound and heat insulation is better than I had hoped. But Lizard Skin MUST be applied with her signature weapon. I chose Al's HNR for my doors because of the possible uses: spray, paint or roll, plus it's cheaper. The HNR arrived quickly, I was amazed that no instructions were provided, none with the product, none on the website that I could find. After applying the product something seemed wrong. I was hoping it would change the texture after application. 24 hours later. My doors are mostly whitewashed on the inside. No isolating effects that I can measure (compared to lizard skin which has a difference of about 40*). As for muffling the sound - nada, nothing. The metal still sounds like a tin bell. Maybe I got a bad batch. If I had instructions I might change the app or do something different. But few products have made me feel as cheated and stupid as buying my HNR Al. Two stars instead of one simply because it applies and cleans well. If HNR AL wishes to dispute this and offer me a second try, objectively I will try again with some guidance. Otherwise, it's hard for me not to see it as a trick.
