Fair price, I like it, filling is a chore

I bought the 5 inch version. I hung it from 2" x 12" floor joists on a swing ring and then a 250 lb spring between the mounting ring and the bag. So it makes almost no noise. I filled a bag with regular home insulation and filled 10 ziploc bags with sand and then wrapped them with duct tape. Assembled it weighs about 140 pounds. Took me about 3 hours to get all the materials and then fill and install the bag. I paid $12 for sand, $5 for bags, $12 for two rolls of duct tape, and $30 for a bag. defective insulation in a hardware store. The mounting hook cost me another $18 and the spring $13. Next, you'll need D-ring clips, which cost another $6. All in all I spent another $96 to complete this thing. You can stuff it with old t-shirts, but if you go that route, you'll need a lot of t-shirts. Just note that you will spend extra money to fill it in. I won't be using it almost every day, but it seems like a good build at a reasonable price. Like everything else, it will break if you knock out the snot. Some people said it smelled awful. It just smells like a pair of cheap leather boots - I didn't smell any unpleasant odor from it. I have the gold/black version, looks cool. In general, you will like it.
