Many people say the bottom didn't fit because it was designed for the DVD drive version of this laptop. I knew I was going to come in because my main concern was protection from above. I take great care of my laptop, but the top is easily scratched and this is the most visible part. So. If your laptop doesn't have a DVD drive and you really need protection and security on the underside of your computer, then this isn't for you. As for the material, it's a nice matte black color but still too plasticky for me. . I might have preferred more silicone or a softer feel like Apple iPhone silicone case. However, this is the only one I found for my computer. I wish it was cheaper for the material. The top fit is good though. So it works.
