Many people say the bottom didn't fit because it was designed for the DVD drive version of this laptop. I knew I was going to come in because my main concern was protection from above. I take great care of my laptop, but the top is easily scratched and this is the most visible part. So. The top fits like a glove. Since my Dell 5570 doesn't have a CD/DVD drive (as others have said), the bottom is a little loose.
