if you have a flared manifold like mine

I have a 79 C3 Corvette with a jacked up intake manifold. You have an Edelbrock Performer carburetor model number 1400. To fit it you will need Edelbrock 2732 (or something similar) if you have a wide bore manifold like mine. Also, you need to lower the height of your setup, so get this air filter (JEGS 50021). And don't use a wing nut, just use a thin regular nut, all you can do to lower the height. Corvettes have ground clearance issues. The reason you need this gasket is to keep your gas from boiling over when you're parking your car and running errands and when you come back your car is smoking and running horribly. Noble rocks must be insulated against engine heat. If underhood clearance wasn't an issue, I'd go with a 1" washer. Hope this helps someone. I had to surf the net a bit to find the right setting for me. Many Thanks.
