Similar Timex bracelets now have similar metal parts to this style but square instead of round. Metal parts do not fit on Timex models. This band, on the other hand, only has one of them, and it lies down. This is important if you value comfort. Plus, it doesn't hurt if you only have one. The fact that the main excess length of the strap is a strap that lies very flat makes this watch strap more comfortable when you do a lot of typing or other activities like at a desk. They are well made and very beautiful. I have small wrists so they are quite long for me. It was very easy to downsize a bit. I just cut to the length I want and then trim off the corners where I just made that cut. Makes a nice shape. Then tap lightly with a lighter to melt the ends so they don't fray and you're done. Looks great. Easy to do. I highly recommend this watch strap. that's a great value.
