I was looking for a speaker for my mother to put something in a narrow corner and she also loves all kinds of music and I listen even when she is not there where we both needed a good quality full range of sound, and for that I needed an easy-to-use sound system. I found this one with really good specs and I love the low profile quirky turret design. This one looks so good, the speakers are good quality and the bass on it is so cool where for jazz the bass is tight and low. And for rock, these speakers can thump, too. There is an assembly that required the base to be screwed in and that was pretty good, the screws clicked right into place and looked great afterwards. The highly visible controls at the top look great and work just as well. The remote control is my favorite, it responds instantly no matter where I am in the room. I use flash drives, but a memory chip would probably fit where it's hidden and invisible to my mom. And I've used the BT feature for myself where it works great and sounds just as good from anywhere in the room. The LED display is nice too, very easy to read and the modes, wow, it has an FM radio that works great if I raise the bounty wire high enough. No cons, I could not find anything that did not work in this column where I am very happy with the purchase.
