This little radio exceeded my expectations. I was pleased with the clear reception of distant FM stations that are difficult to tune to on other radios. The sound quality is surprisingly good for the size: lots of volume with good sound. It's a nice radio too: good build quality and the main controls - on/off and volume - are easily accessible from the top. The display is sharp and bright. Although the radio doesn't have a tuning dial, the auto search works fine and you can enter a frequency directly from the numeric keypad. I tested the microSD slot with a 2GB card and it worked. On the other hand, it lacks a working battery gauge (as far as I can tell, the battery icon on the display means nothing). The radio turns off suddenly without warning when the battery is low. When connected to a USB power source (via the mini-USB port) for charging or playback, the LED flashlight dimly illuminates as a useful indicator. However, when the battery is fully charged, the light or any other indicator will not change. The battery is compatible with the Nokia BL-5C battery in case you need an extra one. If it had a battery level and charging indicator I would give it 5 stars. For the price, however, this radio is a winner.
