Review on KEF LS50 Meta (Pair Home Audio by Dinesh Anand ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad purchase, worth the money.

I compared the pricing of these speakers to others such the dali opticon 2 mk2, b&w 707, monitor audio gold 100, classic kef ls50, and this version of meta, and found that these were the most expensive option without sacrificing sound quality. The sound quality of the ls50 meta and the original classic ls50 is very similar, but I personally preferred the classic models. Additionally, the meta version is 40 percent more expensive and features a simpler design; its matte surface is less aesthetically pleasing than that of the lacquered classic models. Hence, I went with the tried-and-true kef ls50, paired it with my trusty Marantz pm7000n amplifier, and couldn't be happier with my decision.

Pros
  • quality sound
Cons
  • costing far more than the classic ls50 despite having a more streamlined look
