I like its small size no matter what pet I use it for. I bought this to brush our little terrier's unruly coat and although her coat gets dingy quickly between brushes she doesn't mind using this raincoat brush at all. It's medically fragile so I handle it fairly carefully and I'm concerned the metal tips will be too rough, but they each have a tiny white plastic tip so they aren't sharp. Our terrier is clearly enjoying the experience and remains relaxed while being brushed. Our large lab mix doesn't need a brush at all, but he's jealous of the attention the smaller dog gets, so we brush him with the Li'l Pals Slicker Brush too, and he LOVES it. This also works great for our cat, who purrs when cleaning. It's so popular in our house that I'm almost ready to see if our teen with hygiene issues will embrace it.
