As my dryer is a Maytag Neptune the installation of these coils was very easy and straightforward. The swap only took a few minutes and I checked the resistance of the new coils with my multimeter before installing them to make sure they weren't bad. After installation, I reinstalled the door and checked the wet laundry. With the front of the dryer open, I was able to fully observe the cycle from start to finish. The coils seem to be doing their job and the charge ended after half an hour without hiccups. The burner was switched on a total of three times during the test. My dryer is 14 years old. After installation and a few days of loading clothes, the dryer works normally. I should also add that I thoroughly cleaned the vent line and checked the heat at the outer vent cap with an instant-read kitchen thermometer. I was getting between 120 and 150 degrees when the burner was on and I got to a point in the drying process where the dryer's internal load temperature was warming up and there was less moisture in the dryer.
