We needed this sheet to improve privacy at night (due to gaps in the blinds); and provide natural light during the day without having to worry about someone peeping in. This film does an excellent job of ensuring that nothing is visible from either the outside or the inside. We tried looking through the window from the outside in the dark (with the interior lights on) and during the day. you see nothing I left the top 1/4 of the window free of foil so if something happens outside you can raise the blinds and look outside. If there is a small gap between the window and the blinds, the top 1/4 of the edges on both sides can be closed with small strips so that no one from the outside can climb on a chair or similar and look inside. Otherwise, if you film the entire window, you'll have to open it to look out, since there's nothing to see with this footage. It was very easy to use. I just washed the windows really well and used a T-square and cutting mat to keep everything clean. I used an empty spray bottle to mist the windows with plain water. I trimmed off the excess with a ruler and razor blade. I used a rubber spatula head (removed from the wooden handle) to smooth out any air bubbles. I could be careful with that, but that's ok with me. I like that when we're done with it, it can be easily removed. It's been working for about 2 weeks now with no problems.
