Our shower drain drained very slowly, I thought it was probably because of my wife and daughter's long hair. After seeing very conflicting reviews on various drain cleaning products, my wife stumbled across this product and decided we should give it a try before moving on to chemical products. She pulled about 18 inches of clogged hair and other debris from the sewer (wearing disposable gloves for this part is definitely recommended). Our drain is back to normal and we now have a silicone hair catcher which will hopefully prevent another big clog. We plan to use this in our sinks and other tubs and will be showering again in another six months as preventive maintenance. The notches easily caught the hair blockage and the whole thing washed off pretty easily so we could use it again. It was a fairly simple and affordable solution to a clogged sewer.
