This unique set of cups and saucers is very attractive (haha), creative and elegant. I haven't seen such a chic design in a long time! Obviously due to the aesthetics this teacup set is definitely worth the money and would make a fantastic gift too. However, a few things need to be clarified. The main issue is that the cup is about 7 ounces in volume, not 12 ounces - the description is actually wrong! Some places say 6.8 ounces and others say 12 ounces so that should be corrected. Anyway, I went for the blue set and it arrived exactly like the picture. The cup is a little heavier than it looks. Although china mugs tend to be lightweight, this particular mug seems sturdier and more durable. The decoration on my mug has a small scratch. However, when I tried to see if I could scratch the gold any more, I couldn't, so perhaps the gold is more durable than I expected. This particular set is not microwave or dishwasher safe due to the gold embellishment so please use caution when choosing this set. What I liked most about this set is that the uneven shape of the saucer makes it perfect for storing tea scones! Adds some unexpected features. Overall I like this mug set and I would recommend it provided the description is revised.
