The stapler worked fine for the first 6-8 months of use. After that, he began to remove two staples at once, but quite rarely. Over time, the frequency of the double shot increased, and he sometimes began to shoot 3 or 4 staples at once. Finally, about a week before the one-year warranty expired, the gun completely stopped firing. Luckily we were able to send it back to Roberts for warranty repairs, but note that we had to spend about $14 on shipping to get it sent, but they paid for return shipping. Received the gun from them very quickly and it is working again. UPDATE: Well, about a year after we sent it back from warranty repair, the loading spring mechanisms started falling out of the gun. At first it wasn't buggy, but after a couple of charges of the staples, they just fell out of the bottom of the gun and didn't fire after the first 2-3 staples. Luckily we were able to push him to complete the last step we were working on. We didn't even use the gun every day, just occasionally, maybe once every few weeks. We decided to spend $200 on the duofast brand as we can't afford our gun to fail mid-job. I would not recommend this pistol for everyday use. For infrequent or occasional use, I'd say do it with one caveat: be prepared for an outage sooner rather than later.
